It’s this idea of a home being under attack, which you thought was sacrosanct and solid and uninvadable, for that to come under attack, either from something in the wall or for the walls themselves from outside, and then all life feels as if it is made of tissue paper instead of solid brick. It coalesced into the idea of someone for whom all the rules he’s followed start to let him down.
